JPSK Sports retains Just Marketing International for world-class motorsports facility
Indianapolis, London/New Delhi: 4 June 2010 – Just Marketing International (JMI), the global leader in motorsports marketing, has been appointed by JPSK Sports Private Limited to provide strategic and consultancy services for the commercial development of the Jaypee Group Circuit, the venue that will host the inaugural Formula 1™ Indian Grand Prix in 2011.
JPSK Sports, which has secured the long-term rights to the Formula 1™ Indian Grand Prix, is a division of the Jaypee Group and the appointment of JMI comes as the promoter increases its strategic planning for the new venue, alongside its continuing preparations for the F1 event in 2011.
The company is constructing a world-class motorsports facility near Greater Noida, about 40 kilometres outside New Delhi, as part of Jaypee Sports City. The Formula One circuit occupies its own area on a 2,500 acre site, which includes a 100,000-seater international cricket stadium and, in future phases, will also feature world-class hockey, soccer and tennis facilities.
JMI will provide strategic counsel in developing a motorsports facility plan and support JPSK Sports in optimising return-on-investment for both the venue and the events staged at the complex, including the Grand Prix.
"JMI comes to us highly recommended by global leaders in motorsports," commented Mark Hughes, Vice President of Operations for JPSK Sports. "The agency's experience, relationships and insider knowledge, combined with a thorough and broad understanding of the commercial landscape of motorsports and sponsorship, will be invaluable to us as we launch this ambitious venture."
"India is an important market with significant potential for motorsports," said Tom Moser, EVP Strategy for JMI. "We are delighted to form this relationship with JPSK Sports and the Jaypee Group and to partner with the prominent Gaur family."
